Original Luftwaffe Short Range Night Fighter Front Flying Clasp (Bronze unmarked).
Clasp for Short Range Night Fighter / Nah-Nachtjager. Bronzed and patinated zink, the obverse with a central laurel wreath with a winged upward-pointing arrow and a static swastika on the bottom of the wreath, with nine laurel wreaths on either side of the wreath; horizontal banjo style pinback, barrel hinge, and flat wire catch; unmarked.
Instituted by Reichsmarschall Hermann Goring in 1941 to recognise the number of operational missions flown. This Bronze grade award recognised 20 operational missions flown in a short-range night fighter aircraft.
