Feldherrnhalle Cuff Title

Genuine Feldherrnhalle Cuff Title.  A rare insignia and highly sought after piece. Originally authorized for SA members serving in the SA-Wachtstandarte Feldherrnhalle honour guard unit in Munich. This unit grew to have units all over Germany. During the war years members of this honour guard were formed into a special Infantry Regiment 271 of the Heer and served in France before bitter fighting on the Eastern Front. The unit was eventually grown into a Division and these Wehrmacht units were then also authorized to wear the Feldherrnhalle cuff title. This cuff title is a wonderful example that has been cut from its owner’s uniform at some stage. The word “Feldherrnhalle” is nicely executed in Germanic Sütterlin script with a cream thread on the brown band.
