An excellent quality cased reproduction of the 1957 re-issued version of the German 1939 Iron Cross First Class. In 1957 the West German government permitted the issue of de-nazified versions of the Iron Crosses and other awards for WW2 veterans to wear. The swastika was replaced with oakleaves.
