WW1 / WW2 medal and badge group (G1065)
An interesting, historically diverse collection of six genuine European military and civil decorations spanning the First and Second World Wars.
• WWI German Combatant’s Honour Cross (Hindenburg Cross): Bronze-finish cross with crossed swords and original combatant ribbon. Excellent details.
• WWI German Next of Kin Honour Cross (Widow's Cross): Scarcer, distinctive matte black/blackened iron finish version without swords. Awarded to the families of fallen soldiers. Stamped with the maker's mark "N.&H." (Nölle & Huck, Lüdenscheid) on the reverse. Attached to a variant combatant ribbon.
• WWII German Military Driver’s Proficiency Badge: Mid-war striking featuring a steering wheel within a laurel wreath. Shows crisp relief details and an authentic aged bronze/silver patina.
• WWII Romanian "Crusade Against Communism" Medal (1941): Awarded to Axis troops on the Eastern Front. Obverse features a fist holding a sword; reverse displays the personification of "Grateful Romania." Includes a well-preserved red and silver-patterned ribbon.
• 1927 German Weimar-Era Police Shooting Medal: An exceptionally unique historical prize. Obverse showcases a finely struck left-facing cockerel. The reverse is beautifully hand-engraved: "Pistolen Schießen / Sept. 1927 / III. Preis / Pol. Ber. Gubg." (3rd Prize, Pistol Shooting, Guben Police Readiness Detachment).
• German Two-Place Ribbon Bar: Small uniform dress bar featuring the 1939 Iron Cross and East Front Medal.
