WW2 German Heer Boards (G1030)
WWII German Army Pioneer Hauptmann Boards, pips appear to white winter cam finished.
A genuine matching pair of WWII German Army (Heer) uniform-removed, slip-on shoulder boards (Schulterstücke) for a Hauptmann (Captain) in a Pioneer (Combat Engineers) unit.
These high-quality boards feature matte-silver braid cords mounted on a crisp, jet-black wool Waffenfarbe base. Uniquely, the early-war brass-core rank pips feature a smooth, period-applied matte-white anti-reflection camouflage coating used to prevent glint for sniper protection or winter combat. The reverse reveals original, untouched flat brass split prongs piercing the wool backing, along with wide T-shaped stabilizing fabric crossbars at the base designed for heavy field tunics or overcoats.
A pristine, apparently field altered pair of original combat engineer officer insignia.
