A genuine WW2 Japanese Army / Shin Gunto Officer Katana in barn find veteran bring back condition. No visible maker or armoury markings or stamps. Wrapped handle. Fittings loose, no bamboo retaining plug, broken tip, dings to blade, patina and poor sharpening wear as shown. It has had a very hard life, as so many WW2 veteran bring back swords had on farms and properties used by people as tools or mis-used and self - sharpened etc, but still an original artefact of WW2.
