NEW QLD OVER 18 LAWS FOR PURCHASE OF KNIVES AND REPLICA GUNS

In QLD from September 1st 2024 it will be illegal to sell a knife or replica / imitation gun to anyone under the age of 18.  It will also become an offence to use a false ID to make such a purchase.

This is part of new legislation aimed at reducing dangerous youth crime using knives and other restricted items.

As always Sabre will comply with all state and federal laws so we will be requiring photo ID proof of over 18 to be emailed to us before shipping any of the impacted items within QLD.

WHAT IS IMPACTED BY THE NEW LAWS?

Knives, daggers with a double-edged blade, knives with blades at both ends, swords, machetes, axes, sickles, scythes, spear guns, spears, replica firearms including gel blasters that are also replica firearms, and any other bladed item prescribed by regulation.
