Sabre’s military vehicles get used occasionally in support of local community events and veteran groups.

Sabre enjoys making our historical military vehicles available when we can for local school, community and veteran groups including the Gold Coast Light Horse Museum at the Mudgeeraba Showgrounds. 

This weekend we took our 1942 M3A1 WW2 White Scout Car to be used by the Light Horse Museum at The Mudgeeraba Show.  It was a great show with plenty of people coming through this local gem of a military museum from the show.   

The Gold Coast Light Horse Museum is open Sundays from 9am – 1pm, is free to enter with great displays in the historic Schulz farmhouse and other buildings.  The museum also runs educational programmes and visit for local schools and community groups.

Mudgeeraba was part of the recruiting area for the original 2nd Light Horse Regiment and so it is nice to have this museum locally to be able to take this vehicle to occasionally, it being a former 2nd / 14th Light Horse Regiment vehicle.  It’s current colour scheme and setup is that of a 2nd / 14th LHR Recce Troop vehicle.
