M60 Replica Australia by Sabre Militaria

M60 Metal GPMG Replica / Imitation now in Australia (QLD only). We have finally secured for our customers a high quality and highly detailed M60 metal replica of the famous M60 GPMG.

Known affectionately, and un-affectionately, as ‘The Pig’ by Aussie Diggers this is an iconic weapon of war and also of many famous Hollywood war movies. We now have this great M60 replica in Australia.

This spectacular replica feels and looks the real deal and has many amazing features such as fine detail, opening top cover, 10 inert display link rounds, folding and extending bipod, folding sights, removable barrel and moving cocking handle.

It also has a quality gel blaster action, which sadly means we can only supply these to QLD based customers as gel blasters are only legal in QLD.

NO LICENSE REQUIRED IN QLD, PROHIBITED IN OTHER STATES AS HAS A GEL BLASTER ACTION INTERNALLY.

NOTE: WE ARE NOT A DEDICATED GEL BLASTER RETAILER, WE HAVE ACQUIRED THESE AS METAL M60 REPLICAS FOR COLLECTORS / MUSEUMS / RE-ENACTORS:

We sell these as a great quality replica, not with emphasis on its performance as a gel blaster, so blaster accessories such as hobby battery, balls etc not provided but easily sourced on ebay and via hobby sellers if required.  It will work as a blaster if connected to a hobby battery but blaster internals and performance are notoriously variable on any blaster.  Again, we emphasise that we are not a dedicated gel blaster retailer, to us these are great and detailed metal replicas for clients seeking a replica more than a blaster.

The GPMG M60

The M60 General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG) has a rich history and has been a prominent firearm in the arsenal of many armed forces since its adoption in the late 1950s. Developed by the United States, the M60 was designed to replace the aging World War II-era M1919 Browning machine gun.

Introduced in 1957, it quickly became a staple of the U.S. military during the Vietnam War, serving as the primary squad automatic weapon.

The M60 is a belt-fed, gas-operated machine gun that fires the 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge. Its distinctive design features a long, slender barrel, a bipod for stability, and a shoulder stock for improved control during sustained fire. The weapon has a cyclic rate of around 550 rounds per minute.

Beyond its U.S. origins, the M60 found its way into the arsenals of numerous NATO and allied nations. Its versatility made it suitable for various roles, including infantry support, vehicle-mounted applications, and aircraft installations. However, the M60's weight and complexity led to its gradual replacement in the late 20th century by lighter and more modern machine guns.

Despite its phased-out status in many military forces, the M60 GPMG remains a symbol of an era and a testament to the evolution of infantry weaponry over the decades.
